ABOUT US

Pastor Courtney Reed

A native of Vicksburg, MS and has been ministering the word of God for 10 years now serving as a youth pastor. Courtney is a graduate of Louisiana Technical College as an Emergency Medical Technician and Holmes Community College in Paramedicine. He holds a Bachelors in Fire Science Administration from Waldorf University and has worked for VFD with his Paramedic Certification for 15 years. He is a recipient of the Most Physically Fit Award at the Fire Academy and now the Training Officer Chief for the Vicksburg Fire Department. He is also a graduate of the International Sports Science Association and the owner of Fix Fitness, which is a local fitness center offering personal training and classes to minister to the health needs of our community. Courtney is a CPR, ACLS, & PALS certified provider and instructor and also AMLS certified along with being an EVOC operator and instructor. His heart is intercessory prayer for the body of Christ and outreach ministry serving the needs of the church and community by volunteering where needed. He is currently the youth pastor at Trinity Temple MB Church and Traveler’s Rest Church in Vicksburg, MS and a Mississippi delegate for Paneh Mime Ministries International. Courtney continues to pray for the gifts of God in order to serve God in the fullness designed for his life. He is married to Minister Kay Reed and they have one daughter IylieGrace Reed and they co-direct I Can Fly Ministries with Courtney serving as Vice-President, mentor, & leader.

Minister of Dance Kathryn “Kay” Reed

A native of Vicksburg, MS where she is a youth mentor & community leader who founded I Can Fly Ministries in 2007 with a passion to draw young people in Radical ways through the arts! Kathryn has been ministering praise and worship dance for 21 years and mime for 14 years which is the avenue by which God uses her gift to open up opportunities to help so many people. Some of her most notable positions and accomplishments include: with a passion to serve God, directed and produced thirteen years of arts conferences training and equipping God’s saints thru various visions, conducted leadership trainings, choreographed dance and flag at various high schools; created Radical Praise for Christ (RP4C) Dance & Mime Ministry; founder of SOAR leadership/mentorship program, & author of the book, “Seasons.” Her heart is serving the needs of teenagers in the community uniting them and pouring into their lives through mentorship and making an impact so they will reach beyond boundaries set by the enemy! Kathryn is a graduate of the School of Flag Ministry in North Carolina with a teaching certification and a proud graduate of Dancing for Him Ministries-Liturgical Dance Teacher’s Certification and licensed as a Minister of Dance through Dancing for Him. She is a MS Paneh Mime Ministries International Delegate. Kathryn is also a graduate of Vicksburg High School, Hinds Community College, & the University of MS Medical Center and has been a registered Dental Hygienist for 17 years. She is married to Youth Pastor Courtney Reed, Vicksburg Fire Dept. Training Officer, Paramedic, and owner of Fix Fitness and together they have one daughter IylieGrace Reed.
